For the 15th time PIONIER Consortium participates in the world’s largest conference and exhibition of supercomputing technologies and new generation networks - Supercomputing SC19.

Poland is one of the countries considered to be leaders in the global context in the development of IT infrastructure for science, especially with regard to its components – advanced research and education networks: metropolitan MANs and national PIONIER, which guarantee data transmission parameters at a level corresponding to ambitious plans for the construction of pan-European infrastructure connecting HPC centers.

PSNC together with eleven leading national research and education networks (NRENs) representing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe announced the official launch of the second “Enlighten Your Research Global” (EYR-Global) program. This program, which helps accelerate international research collaborations by providing selected proposals with improved networking, data transfers, and/or engineering, is now accepting proposals.

The International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL, http://tpdl2015.info/) constitutes a leading scientific forum on digital libraries that brings together researchers, developers, content providers and users in the field of digital libraries.

PRACE association opened its 11th Call for Proposals on 9 February 2015 at 13:30 CET. This Call includes Multi-year Access as well as a Data Storage Service Pilot.

This year, the world's largest meeting of HPC environments, networking, storage and analysis, was held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference, taking place from 10th to 16th November, was accompanied, as every year, by the exhibition (12-15.11.2012), during which PSNC together with the PIONIER Consortium for the seventh time presented the Polish achievements in the field of ICT.

As early as September this year, after nearly four years of intensive work, will result in one of the biggest projects in recent years for the scientific community - "PLATON Science Services Platform." Through this project, the scientific and academic community is equipped with 5 new services: videoconferencing services, eduroam services, campus services, archiving services and scientific HD TV services. This nationwide project is implemented by 22 Members of the PIONIER Consortium representing the leading R&D centers in their regions.

This year's TERENA conference, held in Reykjavik, was not only an opportunity to present the latest achievements in research projects, but also to celebrate the 10th anniversary of eduroam service. The exact anniversary of the establishment of eduroam is May 30.
